Errors after installing MS Office Web Apps 2010

I installed Microsoft Office Web Apps 2010 to MS SharePoint Server 2010. After that, I started to receive an “Unexpected error has occurred” message when opening a .doc file.

I searched on some forums and resolved the issue by activating the MS Office Web Apps 2010 but it shows another error when opening a document. 

What is the answer for this? I am really lost. Help please.

The error may be occurring because the Microsoft web apps that you installed are not compatible with the operating system that you have on your computer. Some of the things that you will need to check before installing the web apps is the platform of the operating system that you are using. Check to see if it is 32 bit version or 64 bit, and then search online for the appropriate Microsoft web apps for that operating system and install them. If the problem occurs after you enter the serial keys, you may also need to check and confirm that you are entering the serial keys well.
