Errors after customizing partitions with EaseUS

I used Ease US Partition Manager Software on managing my partition C and D. I cut down the size of my Drive D and increased the other partition drive. When I click on Apply, I got error message “2 operations are currently pending. Apply changes now?” I click the YES button and then my computer restarted.

Upon loading, the process for cutting down the size of my Drive D started. Afterwards I got an error “There is not enough free space on the operating partition to move/resize. Press any key to reboot. ” When I click to reboot, the same error will be shown on my screen. How can I fix this? Do I need to reformat my Windows Vista?

It is important to note that you should never make changes to the partition on which operating system is installed as it may result in corruption of allocation tables and data loss. You can fix your hard disk in either ways:

1. Start your computer in safe mode.

a. Go to system restore in system tools.

b. Restore your computer to an earlier date.

2. Try the Startup Repair option in the System Recovery Options.

3. Boot your computer with windows vista cd.

a. Run recovery console.

b. Click Repair your computer.

c. Click the operating system that you want to repair.

d. In the System Recovery Options, click Command Prompt.

e. Type Bootrec.exe, and then press ENTER.

If this does not work either then the only way to recover partition is either by using data recovery software or reinstalling your windows.
