ERROR_INSTALL_REMOTE_DISALLOWED 1640 The current user is not permitted to perform installations from a client session of a server running the Terminal Server role service.

When I’m trying to install any software inside the Virtual Environment, I get an error message that I don’t have the permissions to do it. The error message:

ERROR_INSTALL_REMOTE_DISALLOWED = 1640; // Configuration of this product is not permitted from remote sessions. Contact your administrator.

What should I do in this case?

Hello Green,

You will need to check your computer for viruses. Viruses can be the cause of such problems with your computer. Therefore, if you suspect that your computer is infected with a virus, you may have trouble using WebCT.  The resolution to that will be to scan your computer to check for viruses.  In the event that you do not have a virus checker, it is very important that  you get one and install it.

Regards,

Nicke
