Error on a Word press blog showing missing homepage

I have a blog on WordPress.com, but now when I go to my main page, I get an error:

"Apologies, but the page you requested could not be found.

Perhaps searching will help."

I was thinking that editing the main page would fix this, but I can’t even find that page on my dashboard now.

So how can I fix it?

Any help please?

 Dear Emmon,

Please find the below mentioned following methods to resolve the issue.

Method 1: Post a New blog. In order to achieve this navigate to Post > Add New and then publish a new blog entry. Once that is complete the new page will be replacing the home page of your blog and hence the message will vanish.

Method 2: Utilization of a static front page instead of a dynamic one can be a fix to the issue. Hence your blog settings can be adjusted to yield static front page.

Method 3:  Go to Permalink settings and select default instead of Custom to fix the issue.
