Error while starting office applications with Office 2010 Home and Student Trial

Hi all,

I have downloaded Office 2010 Home as well as Student Trial, but I'm getting some trouble for last couple of days to start any office application.

When I try to start any of the office applications, I receive the following error message code  – “This program can't start because oart.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem”.

Also, I've tried all the MS web answers (as well as reinstalling), but same results.

I'm applying open office and I have decided to make an effort with MS Office to evaluate the two. What should I do now?

Please help me to solve it.

Thanks.

Oart.dll is related to the MS Word 2007. It is an important part of Word 2007 and needed to load the application. This may be due to oart.dll is damaged or corrupted, changes in MS Word 2007 settings, registry keys have been accidentally deleted or tampered. To fix this issue:

Step 1.

You have to replace oart.dll file manually. Download it and then save the Unicows.dll file in your computer directory c:WindowsSystem32. Search the current Oart.dll and then rename it to OartBACKUP.dll. Copy and paste your newly downloaded Oart.dll in your c:WindowsSystem32. Click Start>Run and then type CMD in the search box and then type regsvr32 Oart.dll and then hit the enter key.

Step 2.

Uninstall and reinstall MS Word 2007. We need to replace it  so it won't cause any problems. Just click on Start>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs>Select Word 2007 and click uninstall. Follow the on screen instructions and then restart your computer and reinstall MS Word 2007.

Step 3.

Clean your registry. Download any registry cleaner such as Ccleaner and let it clean your computer system registry.
