Error while opening PDF file

As I was browsing my old files in the computer, I saw my old office document written in PDF. As I was trying to view it in my Adobe Acrobat something popped out that says: “This document enables Reader capabilities that are no longer enabled in this Reader version”.

Currently I am using the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader in my Windows 7. I have tried downgrading my reader and the same error keeps on showing.

Is there any other way I can open up my old PDF file?

Hello Tresa

You are unable to open that .pdf document, because you are using the latest version of Adobe Reader. I assume that document was created a long time ago. This newer version of Adobe no longer supports some features that your old document has.

In order for you to open it, you must use an earlier version of Adobe. 7 or 8 will work.

I hope you will find this information useful.
