Error while installing Bitdefender Internet Security v10 on Win 7 PC

hi,

I was installing BitDefender Internet Security version 10 from disk to my Win 7 PC then I got this error message.  Does this mean the version 10 is not compatible with Win 7?  Is there a workaround for this kind of problem?  I have searched the web and found nothing.  Please help me resolve the problem.

Hello Toby H,

For sure it is quite clear from what the installer is telling as I can see from the screenshot above that the bitdefender version you are installing is not compatible with the windows 7 operating system that you are using. May be it is meant to used on windows vista and the predecessors hence cannot be used on the windows 7.

Or maybe the windows 7 operating system you are using is a 64 bit and the bitdefender version you are trying to install is a 32 bit, and therefore you will be required to check the system specifications, whether your OS is a 32 bit or 64 bit and then download the right version of bitdefender so as to install on it.
