I am not new to AutoCAD and its other products but this one puzzles me. I am trying to install AutoCAD Mechanical 2012 on my work station twice now. It is really a long and tedious process if I may say so. After hours of waiting it wouldn’t finish installing and keeps showing an error.
I have attached herewith a screen shot of the error. I hope you can help me with this matter.

Error while installing AutoCAD Mechanical 2012
Hi, good day. The error that you are experiencing might be an indication that a file has been corrupted. What we have to do is to remove the corrupted file “ProductInformation.pit” first on this location C:ProgramDataAutodeskADLMProductInformation.pit since you are using a Windows 7 Operating System.
After that, you have to uninstall all your Autodesk products that’s installed on your machine. Once all of that is done, turn your antivirus off, if you have any, and then reinstall the application that you were trying to install again.
This should do the trick.
