Error while communicating with eval board

Hi experts,

I have collected ADS1256EVM-PDK with a sample chip, but while communicating with the eval board with the running ADCPro 2.0.1 build 4 and the EVM: ADS1256EVM 2.0.0.0 on Windows 7, an error message saying – “An error occurred with error code 85” appears.

After disappearance of the error message, it gives the output – “Connected to EVM”.

An error occured with error code 85

Can you suggest me to communicate with ADC directly from the LM3S9D92?

Please let me know how to start SPL setup for this meticulous ADC.

Thanks in advance.

Error while communicating with eval board

Hi,

Firstly, check whether the software is compatible with your computer’s configurations. If that is okay then you can try the following steps:

1. Try to connect the ADC using an external device. Some adc's are not able to connect directly from the usb of computer. So you could try to connect it using an external device.

2. Make sure that the power supply is running on the device. Without this it would not be able to connect to EVM.

3. You could consider using the Stellaris arm cortex as an external adc. This has a lot of features.

4. If you need more memory you could try an external interface which will provide you with a lot of memory space.

Error while communicating with eval board

Hello Stacy,

That is an error that is occurring most probably due to compatibility issues, or the application could be corrupted.

Have you been able to use it for communicating with eval board successfully before?

If so, then it is not due to compatibility issues.

If you made any changes to the application lately you might want to get rid of the changes.

Regards,

Nicke
