Error when surfing internet using Firefox

Hello,

I am Firefox user for years now.

One time I was surfing the internet when this error message popped into my screen, see below.

I have searched the web and learned that npdsplay is a Windows Media Player plug-in that is used by some sites to play video and audio.

I read that particular website, but it didn’t clearly tell how to resolve the issue.

Can anyone here help me on how to install the plug-in properly?

Don’t want to use any other browser.

Hallo AbbyP,

Firefox is one of the best browsers, and there should be a solution to that problem. I would suggest that you try installing that plugin using the firefox add ons manager as follows:

  • Go to the firefox menu bar and click on Tools.
  • Click on Add Ons
  • Then click on get Add ons
  • Firefox will search for the add ons online and give you a list of the found add ons.
  • From the list look for the npdsplay plugin. It is there, install it.

When you restart firefox, the problem should have gone after you successfully installed the plugin and you can play video and listen to audio online without trouble.
