 Hi,

I’m having trouble importing a JPG file into Adobe Framemaker V8.0 from Photoshop CS5. Please have a look at the error message below: 

I don’t have this problem when importing this type of files from other graphics software including Microsoft Paint, Paint Shop Pro (V8, Vx, Vx2 or Vx3), Nikon Capture CX2 and so on. Can someone let me know why I’m receiving this message?

Hallo Minty,

You will need to check the extension that you have saved the file and make sure that it is supported by Photoshop CS5. You may be having trouble with the file because it is saved in a format that is not supported.

You may as well try saving in another alternative picture format like the  PNG format and see of that will work properly. If you are copying the file and pasting, I will suggest that you try the procedure below as an alternative:

  • Open Photoshop CS5
  • In the tool bar click on the down arrow at Home and then clickOpen.
  • Trace the location of the file and open it.
