Error when I want to connect to my Outlook account

If this is a new account you created in Microsoft Office Outlook, I think you should check again the information you entered in your account particularly the username you used to connect to your email account. You cannot access or Microsoft Office Outlook will not be able to access your mailbox if either your username or password is incorrect.

The message says that the email server rejected your username which means when Microsoft Office Outlook tried to login to your email account, the mail server rejected the request because the username provided doesn’t match with the mail server. The username is the email address you used to login to your email account.

To verify the username you used in Microsoft Office Outlook if it is still working, open your web browser and login to your email account. After successfully logging in, go back to Microsoft Office Outlook and edit your account. In User Name under Logon Information, enter the email address you used to login to your email account. See image.

Once the correct username is provided, Microsoft Office Outlook will now be able to connect and access your mailbox.
