I use adobe acrobat reader 10.1.0.  I do search daily and depend on long pdf reports. Unfortunately whenever I open a file on my browser it says "There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat /Reader. If it is running , please exit and try again. (0:104)". Please help me.

Adobe Acrobat reader helps us to view and edit PDF files. There are many PDF readers, and out of all of them, Adobe Acrobat reader is the best.

The problem occurring in your browser is because it may be an old version, or your Acrobat reader is not compatible with the browser. You must update the browser or the PDF reader. Download the Adobe Reader 11.0.2 Here.

You can also use the Foxit reader to solve this problem. Foxit reader is a free software.

Download the latest Foxit reader 5.4.5.0124  here.

I hope this helps you

Hello Kristin,

To resolve your problem please follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Disable the option display PDF in browser in the preference tab.

2. This can be done by going to Adobe preference -> Edit.

3. Go to the Internet tab.

4. Un tick the box that says Display in Browser.

Restart your computer and open the PDF again. You will no longer see the error again.
