Hi everyone,

I am working in a law firm at the accounting department. I am working on a billing for clients. I will bill our clients for our lawyers appearance fees in court. When I was about to render the report to Excel, I met this error that TurboLaw cannot open or run Microsoft Excel.

Error Starting Microsoft Excel

TurboLaw could not start Microsoft Excel to display your document. The error was: Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {00024500-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} failed due to the following error: 80040154.

On my analysis of the error, there is a problem with my Excel. So I removed Excel and re-installed it again. I restarted my computer and do my TurboLaw again, and same error again popped up on my screen when I was on the same process.

Please help me solve this issue with TurboLaw's collaboration with Excel.

Thanks.

Hi good day,

You know I encountered this kind of problem during opening my Excel and some of this files being missing or corrupted.

To repair the corrupt file:

  •  Get your Microsoft Office CD installer and put it into the CD-ROM.
  •  Then the setup of the Microsoft Office will flash in your screen.
  •  Find repair. In these steps the corrupted file will be repaired
  •  Open the Microsoft Excel and it will be ok.

Thank you and have a nice day. Hope you can do it.

God bless you and regards

Hi Randysprang,

This problem also occurred to me. I solved this by following this method –

  • This problem is occurred for being loading malfunctioning program.
  • Go to the Excel menu select the tools then Add-ins- form
  • In the Add-Ins dialog box put out all check from the dialog box  and click on the ok
  • Then you need to close Excel.
  • Then you have to navigate your XLStart directory by using Windows Explorer from your PC.
  • If any files are present in the XLStart directory then you have to move the files to another location temporally.
  • After done above works you have to restart your computer.
  • After  restarting you can see that your problem will be solved.
