Error in starting Lotus Notes 8.5 with Win XP

I have Windows XP Service Pack 3 and Lotus Notes 8.5. I received the following message every time I start up Notes and whenever I select an email or a folder: “Not a sub or function name NAMESORTVIEWPO.”

I tried to refresh the email application design but it doesn’t solve the issue. Renaming the user profile data directory and rebuilding it with Notes doesn’t work either.

I would be very grateful if someone can give me any clue about why it’s happening and how to resolve it.

Thank you.

Dear friend,You might face this problem if you upgraded your mail file. However causes is not fact. I am not sure but it may come into account. Please replace the design on the mail file again. To do so first open mail file in designer, then delete the Forms and the Views. When you go to replacing file, first click  Actions.

After you clicked Actions, then click on Folders and finally click on Upgrade Folder design.

I hope it will work for you.

Actually I do not have another concepts.

Thank you for sharing your problem.

It is very easy to fix this problem. This was caused because while you were refreshing the design, the user profile data directory was renamed. First, you have to try to open the mail file from the Designer and you have to delete the forms and also the Views. After which, you have to replace the design.

A number of the elements that are flagged should not update. You should not delete them when you are replacing the design.

It is recommended that you should use the latest version of Lotus Notes software.
