I have a laptop with Windows 7. It's about two weeks old since the last install of Windows, and I have this error when I want to run the install. Can anyone help me fixing this error? Is the original CD driver so why it has errors?

If you are installing the software HP Support Assistant from a setup CD then the problem is maybe with your operating system. Since you are running Microsoft Windows 7, you should check if HP Support Assistant supports your operating system. If you used this CD on a previous operating system and HP Support Assistant works perfectly there then it is possible that your current operating system is not supported.
The problem is only with the program’s version but can usually be fixed by installing the latest version but that is, if HP released a Windows 7 version for it. Fortunately, Hewlett Packard released a version for Microsoft Windows 7. So, if this is the case, you are probably installing an outdated version that doesn’t support Microsoft Windows 7.
You can download the latest version from HP Support Assistant 188.8.131.52. This latest version was released on March 10, 2014. This is a very recent update on HP Support Assistant. This version supports Windows 7 [Home Basic, Home Premium, Professional, Enterprise, Ultimate, or Starter [x86 only]], Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 both x86 and x64.
Try downloading this version instead rather than the one in your CD. It should fix the problem.
