An Error reading Website information

If I put backed my web.config with the essential one so I could right to use control panel, selected Web | Web Sites to show the website properties dialog and go to the extensions page, after that in one more browser window switched back to the actual web.config, go back to the control panel page and pushed update, it would at this time display me an omission message. I already supposed this omission message have to go into a log anywhere, however I could not place it. Please submit your response if you know how can find this?

An Error reading Website information

Hello William,

We can solve the problem by changing little things. At first, go to the File Manager from website properties, then select your domain's directory after that click wwwroot then you will find http://www.config.com/ now select the rename icon beside this, then type www.config.old and the file name will be changed.

Now you need to generate a new web.config.file then click on websites, now click on your website name there you’ll find the update option and click on it to update your website.

I hope this solution could be a help.

Good luck

Hello,

I suggest you rename web.config file. As you go to Control Panel to rename you web.config.file, you are also trying to create a website. Always remember that any changes made on the Control Panel and on your website are sensitive to changes made on your web.config.file so you must not make any changes to the files content. You just need to add to it and do not change settings that were generated by the control Pane itself. If you failed to do this, then it will ruin your Control Panel and eventually your website fails.
