Hi experts,

I found a problem in my PC – "

The NetZero software is already running.

You must close the software before restarting it.

Error Code : 02"

 I need a solution. Please help me.

Hello there Alex, I have read your concern about the error you received in your PC.

I have done some research and found out that this error occurs when you try to start NetZero while it is already running.

Here are some troubleshooting tips to solve the error:

Tip #1

  • Your computer doesn’t meet NetZero’s system requirements.

o    System requirements: Windows 98 SE/ME/2000/XP and Windows Vista.

Tip #2

  • NetZero automatically starts when you turn on your PC. If it does, then disable “Launch NetZero when I start     up my computer”.

o    NetZero Icon/Options/Launch NetZero when I start up my computer (uncheck)

Tip #3

  • If you still continue to receive this error, then you might need to reboot your computer.

That error only means that the program you are trying to run is already running in the background. If you didn’t start it, maybe the program starts with Windows and this is automatic. The program will start automatically every time you start your computer or Windows boots. You should find the program’s icon on the system tray.

Just click it on the system tray to open the program’s interface instead of starting a new instance of the program. If you receive that error, click “OK” to close the dialog then click to expand the system tray. Look for your program in there and click it to launch the interface. If you are subscribed to NetZero, go to the NetZero homepage and log into your account.
