Hi,

One of our users is getting this error message in Outlook 2007.

"Cannot open this item. There is not enough memory available on Microsoft Exchange to perform the operation…"

The user got this when opening a contact group. There are large numbers of members in the contact group but I am not sure exact amount. It opens well when using OWA.

Please help me to solve this.

Thanks.

Hi Willie,

Your issue here involves in opening a contact group, and it opens while using the Outlook Web Access, this issue is just a local issue, I mean its in your computer itself, please try to clear the Forms Cache, maybe the tangle is there, and secondly check for mail viruses that might be lurking in your computer, it will also prevents you from operating normally. In your hints that you can open it with Outlook Web Access, yes indeed it will, since the processing was located in the server not in your computer, that is why I pointed out that the problem is local.

I hope that this will give you a help in opening your contact group locally.

I suggest you to open your outlook and try to clean the forms cache. To do this go to Tools then options -> Other -> Advanced -> Custom Forms then Manage Forms. See if it will solve the problem, but if not, try my other suggestion, Try to turn off the "Used Cached Exchange Mode", then try to open again the email that you can't open later, this must be fixed your problem.

You may try also to consult to some customer service from Microsoft outlook if my recommendation doesn’t solve your problem, but I think my recommendation will be enough to fix your problem. Good luck.
