Hello experts,

My dear friend,

Your MP4 sound problem can be solved. First, test your volume, then you test your MP4. If you think this problem is the software, you can reset it. If you think this problem is hardware, you can test your speakers or audio IC.

Thanks.

Hello Chloe Chylly,

Have you tried with some other video formats for the same issue? If this is the problem with all the formats then it might be the fault of some hardware or firmware of your device.

Regarding sound issue with MP4 format, I believe that Pinnacle saves the audio as separate WAV files. Check for these files in the same directory in which video files are.

To resolve the issue, also try putting the Menu sound on Stereomix 2.

If you don’t hear a sound from the MP4 file, check and verify that your computer has sound. Start Windows Media Player then try playing any video or music. Verify that you hear sound. If you don’t hear anything, it means there is a problem with your sound card. Try to uninstall and reinstall the sound card driver.

Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install. Once installed, start Revo then select your sound card software among the applications and click “Uninstall.” Follow the normal uninstall process. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click to restart later. When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and click to delete everything it finds.

This removes everything the program created on your computer. When it is finished, exit Revo then restart the computer. After booting, install the sound card driver back. If you haven’t updated yet, check if an update is available from the manufacturer’s website. See the following list of computer manufacturers:

Check also the audio settings in your Pinnacle software. Try doing a trial and error by changing the settings and seeing the result. Check the system requirements of Pinnacle and verify that your computer meets those requirements. If the problem continues, try to uninstall and reinstall Pinnacle.
