Hi there.

There are several reasons for this problem. It could be because of incompatible software, missing or corrupt files, incompatible device driver or missing hard drive data sources. Each of these problems has its own solution, so we'll  go one by one.

First you'll have to try to roll back driver failures or reinstall device drivers. If this doesn't work maybe you'll need to  restore Windows operating system, or use Windows Recovery Console and repair corrupt data structures. If nothing of these helps, you'll need to format your hard drive and reinstall Windows XP operating system all over again.

I have to say that you should format your hard drive only as a last resort, because it removes all the files from your hard drive and can cause severe problems. If that happens you can use Recovery Software to recover any lost, deleted, missing or inaccessible files. These softwares are user-friendly and offer easy recovery of lost data.

This type of error occurs when your operating system is corrupted due to some file lost or corrupt.  In this situation you are not able to boot your system and access any file. In the error message you can see some parameters:

STOP 0x0000000A (0xBFD14AAC, 0x000000FF, 0x00000000, 0x8000F67C)

The parameters within the small round brackets are in hex, indicating error in memory such as references, internal request level, type of memory etc. To get rid of it you can format your hard disk and then try to install WINDOWS XP this will remove all your files from your hard disk. But still you can have your lost files by File Recovery Software. If the files in your system are not as such important you don’t need to install File Recovery software. Just format you hard drive make partition and install Windows. Eventually you will have a fresh WINDOWS XP operating system.

Thank you Shekharsharma. I followed almost everything you said. I reinstalled my device drivers and used Windows Recovery Console and repair corrupt data structures. After the reboot, the error message is completely gone. Many thanks! Really appreciate it.
