Hi there,

I was configuring a CRM 4.0 Client used on Outlook earlier today when this error message that I have posted popped up.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM Configuration Wizard

Mandatory updates for Microsoft Dynamics CRM could not be applied successfully, Try running the application again.

OK

Later, as I was viewing the error message it stated this  “Cannot delete a subkey tree because the subkey does not exist. ”

Can you suggest what I should do with this?

Thanks a lot.

I think there is a problem with the program you are configuring maybe because of an installation-related error, maybe it is conflicting with the operating system and or other programs or background processes, or a kind of data error in the hard drive’s file system that prevents it from updating its system files.

If any of these reasons is true then you may try reinstalling the application to possibly fix the problem. Uninstall the program then restart your computer when asked. After booting, check your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system. For a much thorough diagnostics test on your machine, use a disk utility application like Norton Utilities. Install the software again then see if you will now be able to configure it properly.
