Can anyone help me install my AFP printer driver on my laptop (IBM Lenovo)? I tried installing the driver but all I get is an error message (error 0x00000002).

This error is a Windows Logo Testing warning message, sent when a file has not been digitally signed.
 
Please take note that the AFP printer driver’s components aren’t digitally signed by Microsoft.
 
If the SCS Printer Driver or AFP components are not important or not needed, you can opt to choose a Custom Install instead of a Full Install, or an even choose a Selective Upgrade instead of a Basic Upgrade, and de-select the SCS and AFP Printer Driver components. If ever you want to add or update automatically the Printer Drivers, you can do the steps below prior to the installation or upgrade on Windows OS with 32-bit:
  • Set Driver Signing Options to Ignore before the upgrade or installation, and then you can  reset the option after the installation using this location: Select Start, go to Settings, select Control Panel, go to System, click Hardware  and then choose Driver Signing Options

Normally, when you install a printer driver on a computer, the operating system or Microsoft Windows will prompt you that you are about to install a driver that is not digitally signed by Microsoft. The dialog box will show you options to continue with the installation or cancel it. If you are sure that it is the driver for your printer and it is safe, you can select continue so you can continue with the installation.

But since you said you are receiving error 0x00000002 whenever you install the driver, I guess it is indeed an error. Before you continue with the installation, check first the driver you are installing as to what architecture it is designed to run like if it is for 32-bit or 64-bit Microsoft Windows. If you are using 32-bit Microsoft Windows, you need the 32-bit version of the installer or the driver.

If your driver is for 64-bit Microsoft Windows, it will not run on 32-bit Microsoft Windows. If you are using 64-bit Microsoft Windows, you need the 64-bit version of the driver. It is also possible to run the 32-bit version of the driver on 64-bit Microsoft Windows. To make sure you are installing the correct version of the driver for your operating system, download and install the latest driver from AFP Printer Driver Update.

Make sure to read the information carefully. Download only the driver applicable to your operating system version.
