Error message shows when installing the HP Laser Jet printer driver

Hello,

I have these errors messages when I try to install the driver to my new printer HP Laser Jet P1005. Drivers are new, the printer is new and still I have this error. Can anyone help me to fix this? What could be the main cause of this error? Thanks!

I normally encounter this problem when the installer I am running is incomplete or damaged. If you are installing your printer’s driver using the setup CD, check if the disc is not damaged. Scratches on the CD make the files unreadable and thus making it corrupted since it is no longer readable.

Since you can no longer install the driver because of a damaged CD or a corrupted installer, download the driver instead from HP LaserJet P1005. It supports Windows 2000 x86 only, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 both x86 and x64. It also runs on Windows Server 2003 both x86 and x64.

You can also download the basic driver which is available for the P1000 until P1500 models. You can download the basic driver from HP LaserJet Hotbased Plug and Play Basic Driver. It supports Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 as well as Windows Server 2003.
