Error message: the selected task 0 no longer exists. Is there any way to resolve the error message. Can anybody help me to solve this problem?

Sometimes, when you will open up Task Scheduler, then you may see a message like this:
“The task selected 0 exists no longer . To see current tasks, then click on Refresh.”

Also, you will not be able to view the half of your tasks in this case, although after running a FO LIST/Query/SCHTASKS, you will see they are still there and seem like they are working.

I have tried lots of different ways to solve this problem, but I have found the way finally that fixed this problem:

Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionTracingSCMRegular
Then, add or set the REG_DWORD TracingDisabled equal to 0 , and reboot then.

Hopefully, this answer is helpful, easier and clearer steps to fix the problem.
