I'm using windows 7 and Ms-Office 2007 on it.

Suddenly when I try to open Microsoft Outlook program, Its said ‘outlvba.dll is not a valid office add-in. ’

Why it said like that?

My Office is genuine.

I think it's OK.

Hi Paul,

with Outlook 2003, try to find outlvba.dll by this way: Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOFFICE11ADDINS. If the file is corrupt, rename it to outlvba.backup and then try doing a detect and repair Office via the add/remove applet in the control panel. It will bring in a new copy of the file.

Also you can try this way:  backup and delete on: KEY__LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftOfficeOutlookAddinsMicrosoft.VbaAddinForOutlook.1.

I hope the error does not appear anymore.

I hope it was helpful.

Thank you,

Tina.

Since only Microsoft Outlook is affected and not the whole Microsoft Office package, try uninstalling Microsoft Outlook from the package using the Add or Remove Programs.

Select the Change button instead of the Remove button to change some of the enabled products in the Microsoft Office package.

Then on the next window, select Add or Remove Features then click Continue.

Then select Microsoft Office Outlook. Click on the pull-down menu then select Not Available to remove Microsoft Outlook from the package.

Click on Continue to start uninstalling it. Just wait for it to finish then restart your computer when asked.

After removing it from the package, install it back by following the same steps described above then selecting either Run from My Computer or Run all from My Computer options under Microsoft Office Outlook.
