I use Windows 7 and I tried to open .xls file however, there came an error message in Microsoft Excel which said

One of your object libraries (stdole32.tlb) is missing or damaged. Please run setup to install It.

I then installed Microsoft Office 2007.

That error message appeared again.

Here it is:

What can I do now? My Microsoft Office 2007 is original, and there is no problem with it.

In many cases, this problem usually appears when the beat version of Office 2007 was installed and then uninstalled. Did you install a beta version of Microsoft Office 2007 in the past?

To fix this, please try the following steps:

1. Uninstall your current Office 2007.

2. Cleanup all your temporary files I suggest Ccleaner.

3. To ensure that no trace of Office 2007 remains, delete the Office 2007 folder from C:Program Files

4. Restart Windows.

5. After restart, install Microsoft Office 2007.

6. After installation completes, run or wait for Windows update and look for Office 2007 Service Packs.

7. Install the latest Service Packs and Hotfixes for Office 2007.

Your problem should be gone by then.

Hope this helps.
