I have a Nuvi 1450 and I tried loading custom POI software in it. It has been working fine for several times now until I get the following error when I try to load the software. I have attached the screenshot below. I don’t have any idea what changed and why is it happening. I would gladly appreciate your help towards my problem.

I will suggest that you try to sending the data to SD card (Garmin\Poi folder).For the IMO, you will not need the GarminDevice.xml file on SD card for it. After you have done that you will then try the following:

  • First, you will need to put your SD card to SD card reader in the computer that you are using.
  • Then you will need to run the Poiloader application that you have and then select "Garmin Device" as destination.
  • Next you will just let POILoader find your SD card connected to the computer.
  • And then you will continue with the other procedures till the end.
  • Then you will need to check filename that has been created on your SD card in the following location: Garmin\Poi My result: filename.poi
  • You will then need to compare your result with the filename that used to send data to "Computer" as destination and see if they tally.
