Error in installing SCCM 2012

I have a SCCM 2007 which is installed for evaluation purposes only. I never used it so I decided to uninstall it. I also attempt to install SCCM 2012 but half way through the process of installation, while I am about to enter the Server and the database name, I received the following error message:

Configuration Manager

Configuration Manager sites require a supported SQL Server version with required hotfixes for site database operations to succeed. Before Setup can continue, you must install a supported version of SQL Server on the specified site database server. For more information, see https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/system-center/system-center-2012-R2/gg682077(v=technet.10).

Please tell me how to fix it. Thanks.

Error in installing SCCM 2012

Installing System Center Configuration Manager 2012 requires a SQL Server Database. Assuming you are running SQL Server 2008 R2, you need at least a SP1 with cumulative update 6 or you will receive the error you got. The possible way to resolve this is to install the Service Pack 2.
