Error installation message on UNIX in Windows

I have been trying to install UNIX in my WINDOWS system but every time I attempt to do so, it always comes up with this error message.

Error:

This is the first time you've installed Cygwin 1.7.x.  Please be advised that this is a major release. If you have not done so already, please check out the documentation at http://cygwin.com/ to see how the upgrade could potentially affect any existing Cygwin installation.

If this is the first time you've installed Cygwin on this system then you can ignore this message

Is there any possible chance that I may avoid getting this error?

How can I go about correcting it?

All that is that you are not getting any error message. It is just a warning as to whether you are installing the software for the first time or it is that you had installed it before.

You must be doing this job to learn LINUX on virtual machine software.

The VMware you are using is giving this message.

The correct way is to install the virtual machine software first before installing Linux in windows.

However, to the contrary, the LINUX is best used when it is used as a bootable Operating system and not under Linux.

Get it s thrill after installing it sidewise windows, not via VMware.
