Hi to all,

I want to import my Microsoft Outlook 2010 address book but in trying to do so I always get an error which is as under:

I am presently using Windows 7 pro 64 bit on a MacBook pro with a boot camp partition and office professional plus 2010. I recently did a full windows repair with the help of Microsoft tech support.

After all this when I am trying to import outlook 2010 address book, I am getting an error. I am not able to select the option "import windows mail address book" as it is grayed out. Please see the following screenshots:

Avira Internet Security 1012

Error loading Outlook Address Book.
                                                          OK

There is an option to import windows mail but it doesn’t appear to be activated.

I am presently using Windows 7 pro 64 bit on a MacBook pro. I've installed office professional plus 2010.

Any kind suggestions are most welcome.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

This problem is not with the simple ones, so prepare yourself to try everything to resolve it.

First, I suggest you to remove all data from Office Professional Plus, and the previous version that you have since is possible that the older versions bug the new version, and it does not want to work.

Try adding it to Exception only as your last resort, but if you do this try doing it before you start anything. Do that right after installation. Run a deep computer scan, and delete any threats.

hope this helps,
*And also, feel free to contact me even further if additional help is needed,

Hi Nathan,

I noticed that you used Avira Internet Security 2012, there may be instances that it actually restricts you from connecting to your email client. I wonder if you are in a corporate network, this kind of setting may have restrictions though it allows you to connect to the internet but however having the full access to your email client. Try to disable the firewall before connecting to any network and make sure that your domain name is recognized properly. You will notice that it will now have the button enabled and you can just manually re-enable the firewall.
