Homer,

Which product of secunia are you using? The vulnerability manager, PSI, Corporate software inspector or the online inspector software? I’m going to assume that you are using the Personal Inspector Software (PSI). Try the following guide lines to see if it will respond.

1. Open to internet explorer. Go to tools then internet options. Go to the security tab and under internet, click the sites button next to trusted sites. Then add https://www.flexera.com/enterprise/products/software-vulnerability-management/personal-software-inspector/ or the equivalent site depending on the product of secunia you are using, if it is not there.

1. Check your system, if it is a windows OS, for updates. Likewise, update the secunia software that you have.

2. Uninstall it, restart your computer then reinstall it again.

3. Try downloading the latest version.

Hope this helps.

If that happens when you run Secunia, check again if your computer meets the requirements. If you installed Secunia PSI, your computer should be running on Windows Vista Service Pack 1 or higher, Windows 7, Windows 8.x, or Windows 10 either 32-bit or 64-bit. If you are using Windows XP then that’s the reason why it is not responding. The latest version doesn’t support Microsoft Windows XP.

For the hardware, there are no additional requirements. As long as your computer is running on either of the said operating systems, Secunia PSI should work. The application also requires that you have the latest version of Microsoft Update. To verify if you have the latest version, launch Microsoft Internet Explorer then visit Microsoft Update.

The link only works with Microsoft Internet Explorer and not with any other browsers.
