I am now using OCS 2005 SP1 server and LCS 2007 R2 server. I have a signing in LCS server username, they shows OCS servers contacts are offline. Then, I tried to send IM, but I came up with the following error- “The following message was not delivered to user@domain.com.” Please, tell me how to make connection/communicate between two servers.

Hallo Juan,
For you to establish a communication successfully between the servers, you have to be online. Change the server settings for both of them to be online so that they can communicate. If they refuse, check the settings that have configured for them. Ensure that they are on the same domain so as they can be able to communicate.
Check the IP addresses that you have used for the servers and ensure that are in the same class. Restart them for the settings to be refreshed and to take effect.

To switch between LCS and OCS, you must enable your transport layer security. To do so, you have to install KB921543 update from here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/911996/en-us. Apply them in order of the files provided. Then you must install a certificate to redirect the traffic flow between LCS and OCS. All the necessary steps are described at the official Microsoft website. Just visit the link given above & your problem will be solved. Hope this helps.
