The root cause of this error is iPhone's compatibility with only a few of the many audio formats that exist. To fix this problem, do the following:

1. Purchase your music through iTunes Store. This is the easiest and most straightforward solution.

2. If you don't want to do that, download and install iTunes on your PC, transfer this audio file from your iPhone to that PC, add it to your iTunes library and then export it in the appropriate format by clicking "File" and "Create New Version" and then select iPhone.

3. The last solution is to use a file converter of your choice to create a version of the audio file in one of the formats iPhone supports (AAC, MP3, WAV…). This is the most complicated solution as well.

If the file played correctly before, but suddenly starts to show this or a similar error, it could also indicate a failing hardware in iPhone.
