I was editing a Word document in my MacBook when I got this error message.Â
Word cannot edit the Unknown
However, other documents can be edited without problems. It’s a weird message because it didn’t tell much about the error.Â
Any advice on how to fix the problem? Need to edit the document for my project.

If you can successfully edit other documents using the mac book and that one cannot, then the problem is with that document and not the computer. It could be due to the format that you have saved the document in, so you might just want to check that and make sure that the format is the same as that of the other documents.
It could also be because the document being attacked by a virus or other malware, hence the content that it has been messed up, and thus bringing that error when you try to open it. So just try scanning the document for any errors or infections and fix them.
