Hello Everyone,

Why am I getting this error “Failed to open the TCP port error during a server install” during the setup of server installation? The error gives the further description to the problem “MGRD.exe has encountered a problem error at startup. The service will not start. The service log: 11:23:30 (lmgrd) pid 1776 11:23:30 (lmgrd) Failed to open the TCP port number in the license”. Can somebody help me fix this problem?

The first thing you must do is to contact the support of your server provider. They can give you the accurate answer for that. Another option is to check the port number your server provider is using. You can change the number from 27001 up to 27009. In changing your number you must first open your file C:Programs FilesYour Server name. Then look for a file that has the extension of .lic. You can open that through a notepad, then press ctrl+F and search for a number that has 27000. After finding the 27000 you can now change that number into the range I gave before. Finally, save the edited file and try to run your server again.
