Error in downloading in iTunes after software update

Hi, everyone!

I have an iPod Touch that I connect with my Windows Vista computer.

I didn't have any problems when buying from iTunes before but when I updated my iPod to the 2.0 software I couldn't download apps anymore.

It just keeps on saying cannot process the request error code 1009.

What does error code 1009 mean?

Am I doing anything wrong?

Here is a screenshot of the error message dialog box:

We could not complete your iTunes Store request.

An unknown error occurred (-9838).

There was an error in the iTunes Store.

Please try again later.

Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks!

At this moment Dylan you have to think that your iPod Touch has no problem with your Windows Vista computer. As what you have posted in your screenshot, the error code that is present it is error code 9838. Take a simple reboot your iPod Touch and reconnect again to your desktop computer. That would be a basic solution about your error code 9838.

But aside from your screenshot you also stated that there is error code 1009.

This is a result of security that the apple implemented on their system. If you experience this kind of error the apple blocked your iPod Touch current IP address. But don't lose hope about this error.

If you have a virtual private network in your iPod Touch just activate it so you can resume downloading iPod Touch application.
