Error in DNS Event Viewer

This is the first time I visited this forum and I am hoping that I could get some help regarding the errors I encountered in the DNS event viewer, which are way too much. These errors would result for clients to be unable to ping the server and the server unable to ping the client systems. The sharing resources are not functioning as well. How will I correct it?

Hello Jamie,

Gnerally, you are getting that error because your DNS or ISP does not support any registration records of DNS and DC's. On all members of AD Domain, only use your internal DNS. You need to configure your DNS for internet access. Please follow the steps below to configures your DNS:

  • Configure your IP/TCP
  • Click start > settings > control panel
  • Double click your dial up connection
  • Right click LAC (local area connection)
  • Click properties Internet protocol and click properties again
  • Go to advanced and click theDNS tab
  • Click DNS suffixes
  • Click the DNS check box
  • Click ok

You can visit this link to know more about DN troubleshoot.
