My Mac PC is running with OS X 10.5.8. It has Prism Video Converter software downloaded and installed in it. I have some m4v files which I need to convert. I made those files in iMovie and every time I started on converting, an error is showing that says "Could not open source video file."
Can anyone suggest any solution for this problem?

Sorry to hear your problem. You have to make sure that you have the latest version of Prism Video Converter for Mac. Below are some solution which you can use to solve your problem.
Make sure that the file format of the video is correct
Then select the output video file formats that you want and set compression / encoding rates, resolution and frame rate of output video files.
You can now then convert and generate the video output as image shown below:
