Hello Everyone,

I am using windows 7 in my home personal computer. I got the strange error message for the first time in my PC while connecting the project of App Inventor with Android Emulator. The error message appears as “It appears that the device cannot access its external storage. Check that the device is not in USB Mass Storage mode. Please restart the Phone App after fixing the device”.  The message gives the sense that I am running the real mobile with android while I am only using the emulator. Also note that I am running the App Inventor in my school in the system having windows XP without any problems. Kindly tell me how to fix this error?

Thank you in Advance

I think the problem is only with your settings in the Inventor application. The best way to check the problem is to compare the program’s settings in your school with the program in your home computer. I’m sure you will find some discrepancy with both setups. Be thorough in analyzing the program’s settings. Configure your program in your home computer just like how it is configured in the school’s setup of the program.

You may also try uninstalling the Inventor application then check your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system. Then after that, install the application again. This will fix any corrupted files in the installation and will restore the settings back to default. Just configure it again after reinstalling it.
