Recently I am using iPhone 6s. I am not able to download or update apps from iTunes, and it is giving error code 1009 with a description of ‘your request cannot be processed’ on each try. What is this error? How to solve it?

Error 1009 is given by the iPhone 6s to deny you access the services of iTunes. Your IP address may be in the list of destinations which are not allowed to reach the app store or proxy settings if proxy settings is not applicable to the device you are using. Default settings if iPhone is in coordination with the country of its purchase. It notifies that the country of purchase and credit card details do not match. Changes if any, should be re-authorized with the iTunes account.
To solve this error first option is to update the firmware for bug fixes. You can make use of any third party tools available. Another option is to change your HTTP proxy settings. For this, you will have to go to the Wi-Fi settings and put the details. You can also set a password for the proxy server if asked during the same.
