Hi Olisamuels,

This error indicates that the inbox file is corrupted. It may be possible to correct this, just follow the steps mentioned below:

  1. Open outlook express, and click on the “local folders” on the left pane
  2. Select new folder, and Rename this folder something like NEW
  3. Now click on inbox (If possible), and move or copy all the email messages to this new folder
  4. Now go to Menu-tools-options-Maintenance-Store folder,  PLEASE COPY THE LOCATION / PATH OF YOUR INBOX
  5. Close outlook express
  6. Now go to my computer and go to the location of your inbox (as copied in Adobe 4), and delete the file inbox.dbx
  7. Now open outlook express, the inbox file / folder will be Re-Created
  8. You can now move your email from the new folder NEW to inbox.

Hey Olisamuels,

To solve this problem. Follow the below mentioned steps-

  1. First, restart the computer and if the problem persists, follow the following steps.
  2. Change the name of the Inbox.dbx file:
  3. Then go to “Tools” -> “Options” -> “Maintenance” tab -> Select “Store Folder”. It will then open your Outlook Express files.
  4. Exit Outlook Express, navigate to the location mentioned above.
  5. Again change the name “inbox.dbx” to “oldinbox.dbx” or name that you prefer.

After you restart the Outlook Express, it will create inbox.dbx file automatically and your problem will get solved.
