Error After Installing MatLab Software

I installed MatLab on my computer the other day. I tried running the application today, but I get the following error message:

License Manager Error -14.
Cannot find SERVER hostname in network database

Please help me resolve this issue. Below is a screenshot of the error I'm getting

Dear,

After installation of MATLAB, you have to right click on the (MATLAB) icon, click on the properties. After that click on Compatibility as shown in figure. Here you would see the drop down list, there you can see a list click on Windows 2000 item and press OK Button and Enjoy.

This error is caused by incompatibility between MATLAB and your operating system. Your computer’s server must be the same as the license’s server. If you have the R2008a version or higher, you can check the license file in this location:

$MATLABbinwin32license.dat

$MATLABbinwin64license.dat

$MATLAB/etc/license.dat (for LINUX and MAC users)

If this problem comes during startup, disable it by going to your MATLAB folder. Follow this address: /Library/StartupItems/MATLABmgr. Rename StartupParameters.plist to StartupParameters_disabled.plist. You should no longer get this error when starting up.
