Hello TechyV buddies!

I am having some problem with Rapidboot. An error occurred while using this program.

The error is this: Error: "8504,104" I don’t know what could have caused this but I have a theory that this might have caused by my Norton antivirus.

Can anyone help me solve this problem?

I will really appreciate the effort.

Thank you in advance!

Hello,

RapidBoot usually occurs this error on the computer.

Try installing latest version of RapidBoot in your pc.

If you are still having issues then follow the procedure described below,

  • Download and install the program “Norton Power Eraser” by using following link).
  • When NPE is successfully installed run it to scan, follow the instructions and wait for scan to complete.
  • Close all programs and restart your system. After restarting run Norton, if it is not working properly then try Uninstalling and Reinstalling the product.
  • Now click on control panel and yhen go to User Accounts and Family Safety > User Accounts, then click on Change User Account Control settings, move the slider present there to Never notify and then apply the setting change.
  • Restart system again and run LiveUpdate to install all the updates.

Hope it helps!

The error you're getting can be the result of several different issues – it is possible that your installation file was corrupted so installation wasn't successful or that some other utility is blocking the Norton tools.

Whatever the cause is, you will need to reinstall the Norton software in order to make things work. To do so, you will first need to remove the installed version from your computer completely. You can do that either manually or using the tools that Norton provides (Norton Removal Tool).

It would be great to scan your system for any malicious applications at this point as they could block the installation of the antivirus software.

After you're sure your system is virus free, make sure you've disabled all other security products. The easiest way to find out if there are any is using the processes in the task manager.

Once you're done, run the Norton Removal Tool and follow the steps to remove the Norton from your system.

Make a fresh download of the software and try to install it again.
