Hello,

To control a shutter and Galvo mirrors, I am using the NI USB-6211 Bus-Powered 16-Bit, 250 kS/s M Series Multifunction DAQ. The following error is what I am getting.

Error- 50405 occurred at DAQmx Write(Digital Bool 1Line 1Point).vi:2.

Possible reason(s).

The transfer was aborted by the client thus no transfer is in progress. As specified the operation could not be completed.

Task Name:_unnamedTask<3>

This occurs anytime from a few seconds to 9+ minutes and the occurrence seems to be random. Help please anybody out there?

Hi Nicko,

The reason why error 50405 happened because you are using a device plug in into USB 2.0 host controller, and you unplug or insert another device. In that case, your USB stops responding and must be reset from the host, either interactively using MAX or programmatically using the driver.

Try this to solve the problem. You have to reset the device from the driver (niScope_Reset Device or DAQmx reset device) and then open Measurement and Automation Explorer(MAX). And then expand Device and Interface to locate your device. And then right-click the device in the list and select Reset Device. After that disconnect and reconnect and then reboot.
