Hi to all

Just yesterday during an automatic installation I was prompted to create a Math Works account. when I filled in my email address, name, and activation key I got an error on my screen.

The screenshot of the error is attached below:

The error says:

A Service Error "Error 334: An attempt to create a new profile for an email address already in use was detected."

I am using this application for the first time, and I don't recall ever having created a Math Works account before.

Does anyone else has also been having the same problem?

kindly help me out to get rid of the error.

I am at my wits end now.

Waiting for your replies

Regards

Daniel

Hello Daniel,

In case you are installing from discs, you will need to check the product installation discs for dirt, dust, or fingerprints. You will need to gently wipe the bottom of the disc from the center outward with a soft, lint-free cloth.

Also verify that the disc drive can read other discs.

Nicke

Error 334 when entering email address for mathworks account

Hi there user:

This error popped-up because there’s (already) an existing MathWorks Account from the information you have provided, especially in the email address field. You’ve (maybe) created once a MathWorks account but you forgot about your password. Or somebody sharing your computer did.

The solution here is to deactivate the previous account so you can continue creating a new account (or you can opt to just use the previous one). To do this, you will need to retrieve your password. Here’s the link where you can retrieve your password by way of MathWorks. https://in.mathworks.com/mwaccount/profiles/password/forgot?nocookie=true

Thanks for asking here at techyv.com.

Best regards,
