Error 3259 – Cannot Download Anything

Hello,

I am trying to download updates. I did every prompt about backing up stuff before I start the download.

I tried this last night but got an error before going for in the process. This error code is 3259.

I tried it today and again I got the same error but this time I went about half way. Again I tried but this time it shows the estimated time of 5 hours.

I know that I have a slow internet connection, is it correct? Will this slow internet connection be the problem to the crash which makes me to start the download again?

What is the meaning of error 3259? I have not got such a errors when I download software updates.

I need a help from someone on this case.

Error 3259 – Cannot Download Anything

Hi,

The error may have been caused by an older version of iTunes, network connectivity or a Firewall is blocking the ports being used by iTunes.

What you can do is as follows:

  1. On your set up, remove the proxy information
  2. Get the latest update of iTunes

This should get you on ahead. If the error persists, check your Firewall, especially 3rd party Firewall by anti-virus software. Use only one Firewall.
