Error 32010 when installing vCenter Server 5

Hi,

 

I got an errorr 32110 on Windows 2012 machine when installing vCentre 5.1.0 while selecting the supplied SQL Server Express edition for database. How can I resolve this error message? Is there any cause of this error? Any help would be appreciated.

error 32010. Failed to create database users. There can be several reasons for this failure. For more information, see the vmMSSQLCmd.log file in the system temporary folder.

Hi Alvin,

The error is because log file vmMSSQLcmd.log does not contain complex passwords for RSA_user and RSA_DBA.
To resolve this error follow the mentioned steps:
1) Locate the vmMSSQLCmd.log in the path 'C:UsersAppDataLocalTemp'

Location-of-vmMSSQLCmd-file-in-the-system

2) Set the complex passwords for RSA_DBA and RSA_USER

Setting-password-for-the-Database-users

3) Complete the installation wizard
4) After the installation is complete, restart the system
