Error 2755 while installing the Windows Movie Maker 2.6

Last night I was installing Python, along with Movie Maker. In the very beginning the installation process was running quite smoothly. But a while, the error (code 2755) appeared saying,

 "Cannot find the file specified.”

The screenshot of the error is given below.

Cannot find the file specified

The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing the package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2755.

Can you give me a solution, please?

Hi Gerardo Thomass,

First find out what version your MSI installer is and if it needs updating. NOTE: I would have guessed you would of received a different code or errors if you just needed an update, Such as a message stating to be out of date, needs updating, is corrupted etc. This turned out to be related to the "Windows Installer" not being set to Automatic and the service Started.

1. Start –> Run –> type "Msiexec" (Case insensitive and without quotes)), Then read the information posted in the box, if any all you will need is the version number. If machine states this "v4.5.6001.22159", Then you need to update the MSI Installer package.

This is the information to the latest MSI installer v4.5.

Thank You
