Greetings to the Tech Masters!

First of all, I’m using Windows XP Pro running on SP 3.  I am always getting this Error #2044 whenever I use Firefox while browsing the internet. I get this error running continuously. It might be a flash problem,  I think.

Can anyone help me  solve this problem? I will greatly appreciate any kind of assistance you can share.

Thanks a lot TechyV.

Regards,

Chris

Make sure there is no virus in your computer. Remove your existing Firefox browser. Reinstall the latest version of Firefox such as Firefox 4.01 or whichever is latest.  Install flash player upgrade the version. If no result, reinstall your operating system and install Mozilla Firefox again.

Reinstallation is last option but do keep in mind to try various other ways that experts here in techyv suggest as well

Hope your problem will be solved.

Thanks.

Hi, Christoff

I can help you to fix the error message on your Firefox browser. I suggest you to perform the following troubleshooting steps:

>>Make sure your computer’s date and time is correct.

>>Check if you are able to browse with other browsers such as Internet Explorer and Google Chrome.

>>If this does not fix the issue, try reinstalling the Firefox application on your computer.

This should fix the issue with Firefox on your computer. Just in case if the issue still exists, try restoring your computer to a previous settings and then install the Firefox program.

Thanks and regards,

Skarbos Jay.

Dear,

This error is not directly related to Firefox. Error #2044 occurs when one of your Adobe Flash Player plugin(s) are missing. Please update the Adobe Shockwave player 11.6.8.638. You will find the latest Adobe Shockwave Player from the following link:

https://get.adobe.com/shockwave/

Please also check if your Adobe Flash Player is updated or not. Some browsers automatically update Adobe Flash Player. If not updated please do it manually from the following link.

https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

I hope it will solve your problem.
